It's May 1 and I felt compelled to start this blog on a date I could easily remember! Remembering can be a challenge for me sometimes and hopefully this blog will help me in that area.
What a beautiful day we've had - clear skies and balmy weather! Yar and I went to BBB - I had to buy a new toaster and needed a new ironing board. Wow - things are expensive - it's been a few years since I bought an ironing board - they run anywhere from 30 to 100 dollars! So I picked the $30.00 one and guess what - get it home and you can't open it to stand it up! Of course it was wrapped in plastic or I would have tried that out at the store. So back it will go tomorrow.
Bought a new toaster - ended up getting the same kind I had before. It's a Kitchen Aid with nice wide slots, so my sourdough (yum) bread will fit nicely! You say, what happened to the old toaster? I dropped a plate into the toaster - the plate had a stick of butter, a soft stick of butter on it. I could not get all that butter out of that toaster and every time I tried to use the toaster it was smoking like crazy! I was too afraid it would catch on fire, so I dumped it! Lesson learned, no plates with soft butter on the top of the toaster.
T woke up and told me he fell last nite in the garage. Did a number on his foot - will have a huge bruise - I don't think it's broken - he can move it - just very painful to put weight on it! Oy vey - that garge is a dangerous place. Actually had a rug near the door that wasn't the greatest, so it's gone now! We are icing it every 20 minutes and feeding him ES Tylenol every 4 hours.
Poochie had to go to vet today - anal glands full and needed a vaccine. Poor puppy! Can't go to the vet for less than $100.00 and then they want to do $200 worth of bloodwork! Yikes ya gotta be kiddin' me. We passed on the blood work -
