Gary and I spent multiple days loading up the motorhome and then hit the road on Monday, 9-4, making our first stop a mere 1 1/2 hours later at Camp Mills in Apple Valley. We were treated like a king and queen at Camp Mills and we certainly do appreciate the hospitality.
Today we travelled 330 miles to Hurricane, Utah for just a one night stop. We don't unhook our car for the one nighters. Everything went smoothly, temps at and over 100. It was 111 in Hurricane when we arrived (Ugh) I want desperately to get away from this awful heat. I packed lots of long sleeves and have a jacket that needs to be worn - soon!
Our next stop will be near Salt Lake and I was hoping to hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir rehearsing, but that ended in August. There are organ recitals everyday at noon so maybe we can catch one of those.
No pictures today - uploading was taking way too
long.

It is time again, finally, to hit the open road. We are going to point the MoHo north next week. Preparations are underway, the packing will soon
begin and then off we go. Please stay tuned for updates and pictures of our adventures. There is shopping to do and then the load in before our wheels are turning on our mobile home.

Olympic Peninsula National Park
Drove the Hurricane Ridge Road in the park today. Beautiful but foggy at the top so we didnt get pictures of the mountains.
We enjoyed a great dinner in Port Angeles at Michaels Steak and Seafood.
Eugene OR to Sequim WA
Long travel day! Too much for one day but we got it done. I could barely walk once we arrived (very bad knees) but I survived! Mostly uneventful, the way we like it. We were behind a large 5th wheel when the poor guy had a tire on the trailer blow out. Lots of flying debris and a fender cover went floating by but no harm for us. The guy got it off the road quickly and safely.
Our accomodations for the next three nights are in a stunningly gorgeous location but the premises is very outdated. I was hoping for rustic but this is like 60's outdated. But like I said it is all about the location.

Back on the Road!
We are back on the road again! WooHoo! Life threw
us a bit of a bump earlier this year but we are on the other side of that now. We are sans the motorhome but hopefully we can get back to it in October.
It is so blazing hot in SoCal we decided to head north where it is cooler and it actually rains from time to time.
This is Day 2 and it was a long travel day, Sacramento to Eugene OR-470 miles. But it wasnt long we were blessed with cooler temps, beautiful green trees, and sprinkles falling from the sky! Lovely I tell ya, just lovely!!!
Here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure!
